The Bronner Brothers are back and bigger than ever for their 70th Anniversary Hair Show. The influential brothers teamed up to bring yet another jaw-dropping and star-studded hair show weekend to Atlanta.
Saturday served as day 1 for the hair show’s anniversary, kicking off what was to be a 3 day celebration. Hundreds of people arrived in the early hours of the morning and remained throughout the day for the various forums, shows, hair tutorials, and performances.
Events held Saturday included Champion of Weave Competition, “Master the Look” Make-Up Panel and several seminars and classes.
Celebrity guests included were Cynthia Bailey, Eva Marcille, Keyshia Ka’oir, Yandy Smith, Gucci Mane, Towanda Braxton, and many more. V-103 and WOAK broadcasted live from the event and conducted interviews with talent live on air.
Day 1 was capped off with a live comedy show hosted by comedian Steve Brown and featured sets from internet sensation Kountry Wayne and comedian JJ Williamson. The show was followed by a performance from rapper Young Dro before introducing a rousing set from R&B sensation K. Michelle.
Sunday served as day 2 of the 70th anniversary weekend and began with a church service which was followed by the Andis Barbering Competition. Love and Hip Hop: New York star Yandy Smith held a meet and greet at the Mielle Organics booth before the day concluded with the Ultimate Battle of the Hair Schools and The World Famous Barber Battle.
The finale was held Monday and the Student Rising Star was held that afternoon. The celebration finale brought out stars such as Shay “Buckeey” Johnson, Bobby Valentino, and rapper Rick Ross who came to take photos with fans and introduce his new affordable luxury hair care line.
“I was overseas when I was introduced to [Rich Hair Care],” said Rick Ross. “I reached out to the owners and I made a business proposition and more importantly, we became friends.”
Rick Ross wasn’t the only one to express his excitement for being at The Bronner Bros. 70th Anniversary Hair Show.
“The energy here is tremendous,” said Bobby Valentino. “It’s always good to come out here and see everyone handling business and making moves for black folks. I enjoy myself every time I come to the hair show”.
The Bronner Bros. Hair Show is set to return again in August this year.
